Finding the perfect gift for someone is sometimes difficult. For the person who has everything, one must think hard about what unique item will make them feel appreciated. If you have a green thumb, your perfect gift could be just inches away from you. Giving something that is fresh and alive is always endearing to the receiver. Here is a list of concepts that might interest you. Try out some of these gift ideas with your plants and see what type of reaction you will receive.

Garden starter kit

You can supply a nice basket or box with small pots of plants, or seeds, and include some handheld garden tools and a pair of garden gloves.

Veggie Basket

Pick some of your finest fresh vegetables and place them in a cute basket. Tie a bow on top and you’re done!

Flower Bouquet

Pick a few of your beautiful flowers and create a nice arrangement in a vase or in wrapping paper. Make sure that you shake any bugs off before presenting this special gift.

Gift Certificate

Create a special gift certificate giving them access to pick veggies from your garden. You can make your own rules of how you want to execute this privilege.

Flower display

Take a glass bowl or glass candy dish and fill it half way with clear marbles. Place some freshly-cut flowers one stem at a time into the marbles. Cut the flowers short enough that the marbles will hold up the flowers. Fill it with water, and you have a simple classic display. Tie some ribbon around the glass and present it.

Unique planter

Create a planter out of something special that you know would catch their attention, such as an old toy or shoe. Fill it with potting soil and place their favorite plant inside!

Terrarium

Make them a terrarium and include some of your small plants in it along with some cute decorations.

Forcing Bulbs

You can make a glorious flower display with forced bulbs in your refrigerator. Plan in advance, and choose a pretty glass container to force them in. Bulbs like Amaryllis and Paperwhites will bloom within weeks of planting. All you need is the shallow glass container, marbles and water. The marbles will hold up the bulb and add water halfway up the bulb. Do not submerge the entire bulb in water.

There are many ways to present your talent for gardening to the people you love!
